Cut Yourself Some Slack

It’s time to cut yourself some slack. You do not have to be perfect, or even close to it. You just have to care.

Most of the people I know and meet have are quicker to forgive others than themselves. That’s a shame, because the downside of aiming too high is that you can end up perennially being down on yourself.

The only time you get it all right is when you are aiming way too low.

So cut yourself some slack. Enjoy the errors, mess, and uncertainty.

All that matters is that you care enough about yourself and others to put genuine effort, talent, and care into your work. If you carry this attitude through your daily life, everything else will take care of itself.
